If handchecking would make no difference in the NBA in this era, they should bring it back. What is there to lose?

Didn't Lebron average 21-6-6 as an 18-year-old rookie in one of the lowest scoring seasons in the last 50 years when handchecking AND zone defenses were legal?

OP is clueless.

Handchecking still goes on today, a handcheck can be called on almost every play. Curry is one of the most handchecked players of All-Time. Also, handchecking fouls were called in Jordan's era, handchecking started being illegal in 1979 you could not impede forward progress with hands, in 1994 it was established that you could not handcheck from end line in backcourt to opposite foul line, and in '05 handchecking was supposedly abolished completely even in the post. But like I said it's impossible to enforce because handchecking literally goes down on almost every single play.

It is one of the most overstated arguments in basketball...

And this.

So would Lebron be a GOAT-tier defender if he played back then and was allowed to handcheck like Jordan was? :ohhh:

Nah he actually is if you watch games. He is unguardable without putting hands on him because he has unlimited range, above average quickness, and G.O.A.T. tier handles.

Kevin Love "The Stop" was him handchecking Steph after every shift and change in direction from Steph. If you watch Delly's defense in the 2015 Finals on Steph on and off ball he is handchecking and hacking heavy, Delly is one of the biggest handcheckers in the NBA.

Steph is the most hacked shooter in the game, arguably the most handchecked player y'all nikkas are biased AF.

Patrick Beverly the hand check king of this era. Iggy too. That nikka stay with his hands on a nikka. No homo.
Patrick Beverley, Avery Bradley, Matthew Dellavedova, Andre Iguodala, Tony Allen among many others. Kawhi Leonard is known to use those big hands. Jimmy Butler ALWAYS hand checks LeBron in triple threat.

Like I said handchecking didn't go anywhere it is an impossible rule to enforce just like defensive 3 seconds.

James Harden always expose handchecking as does Durant with the swipe thru method.

All I know is Lebron gets to the rim way to easy for a guy who barley has handles, a great post game or any unstoppable go to offensive moves.

Defenses are weak nowadays hand checking or not because players are mentally weak or just not competitive as they once were.:manny:
Except none of this is true but stay ignorant.

With Hand checking back in place Lebron's game would be the equivalent of Scotty Pippen.

LeBron gets hand checked every game and is way better than Scottie Pippen, literally not close.
