Man I hate this stereotype that black people can't swim.

I did swimming in college and I won every race we had. Every single damn one!!


Every single one I would run laps around mostly white people in the pool.

steretoype based off racism, there aren't any pools in black areas and at the time you couldn't swim with white folk so how would you learn.

Swimming is a vital life skill. Everyone should know how to swim, and put their children in swimming lessons.

If you have a child, and they fall into water, the power of love from a parent won’t save them. You won’t miraculously learn how to swim.
