Damascus Syria had a 140 degree day last year. That was just the hottest day last year not of all time.

For comparison Phoenix has only ever surpassed 119 degrees 4 times in recorded history. Hottest day ever recorded was 122 degrees almost 3 decades ago.

Imagine a place that can get 20 degrees hotter each year than the hottest day EVER recorded in Phoenix
