I feel you op. I think I live a pretty good life out in the states, but this super material, commercialized world ain't the wave for me no more. I don't care about what some Instagram bedwench is doing, or how many likes nikkas got for a Facebook post. The more connected the world gets the more disconnected it seems.

I love nature so sometimes I think about getting some land and farm. I know it's hard work but it would be rewarding. Either that or be a rasta or live with shamans. Simpler living where all you need is a good book and a fireplace.

I really like monks and monasticism. To me they are the true revolutionaries- people who renounce the world in favor of a purer lifestyle. With monks we see the creation in miniature of a new world, a form of communal life where the welfare of one’s fellow monks is the top priority, an aspiration toward an ideal of ego-less living and renunciation of worldly vanity.
