Only 2 ways out that motherfukka, either towards 7th or 8th Ave. And during rush hour, that joint is PACKED with people.

Oh shyt. I've been in that tunnel many times...it's about a 3-5 minute walk just get to the other side. You're fukked if you get caught in there when an explosion happens.

But simple answer - No. Definitely not.

And even though I am a proponent of an interpretation of the 2nd amendment that is more in line w/ conservative leanings, I'm happy this incident wouldn't be the thing that changes thing regarding guns.

I completely understand gun ownership because

1) Property protection and hunting (for food).

and 2) There is a genuine concern for protecting oneself against the dark issues that arise when government/law enforcement fail and/or possibly collapse temporarily(think Hurricane Katrina) or permanently(Imagine a major economic collapse or severe natural disaster that renders a city, state, nation defunct).

However, in cases like the Las Vegas Shooting or this recent NY subway bombing... What would happen if an active shooter were to be reported in the 42nd Street train station?

Described as male, 5'8, wearing a jacket and carrying a firearm.

Let's also imagine that, if gun laws encouraged carrying firearms, at least 5 people unholstered their weapons to become the hero.

In the confusion, as the NYPD Terrorism Unit rolls through, and other armed citizens see each other without any additional info...

Nothing but a cross fire bloodbath seems to be the probably result.

Personal gun carrying should be for intimate threats to life...not encouraging brehs to be Seal Team Six.

It happened in THAT tunnel? That's what i use to get from the S shuttle to the Port Authority. It feels like forever walking through that walkway


That dude was STUPID to let it go off in there. It's always packed in both directions everytime i use that route.
