Some Xbox One consoles have a noise problem when left idle

The kids on GAF say its coil whine from using cheap components. It goes away when the console is under a load. Mine has never done it and hopefully never will. Appears to be prominent in the new kinectless Xboxes. Some have reported 4+ console exchanges doing this.

The trolls are gonna love this but it needs to be out there.

Not surprised. They probably cut costs somewhere in the hardware of the newer units to help with profits

Says here that the ones with Kinect draw more power and that may mask to issue.
