Willie for all intents and purposes is a good dude. This job was just a little too much for him right now. shyt, it happens. There’s no shame in that. Even got fired in Cleveland and he’s the GOAT coach. It’s one thing to win at Temple, Houston, even a school like WVU (see: Al Golden, Tom Herman, Rich Rodriguez, et al). It’s another thing to win at Miami, Texas, Michigan. At those lower levels it often takes only a good system, or one or two good players and you’re straight. When you come to FSU or a school like that you immediately start swimming with fukking sharks, and winning isn’t just based on one or two things. It becomes everything. The competition for resources, on the field, players, etc. increases exponentially. Every little detail matters. You got UF south of us, UGA and Clemson north of us, AL and LSU west of us, and middling programs like Miss St, and Miami scattered all around us.

These are some fukking shark infested waters. I expect that Willie learned a lot and he’ll be able to pull from this experience in the future. Time will tell if Norvell is ready to swim in these waters.

Yeah, don't listen to WC. Norvell is not about burn bridges that he has yet to cross with these FL HS coaches. Look at our QB room, makes no sense to turn people away. It is more than likely you'll be adding more than the usual because of our lack of QB recruiting the last couple of years. Sims is still visiting and Norvell is still recruiting him, if there was no fit, none of that would be going on.

Bruh, you hit the nail on the head. I wanted Willie to be like the Obama of College football. The 1st Black head coach to win a College Football National Championship. I gave the 1st season a pass because of the situation he was handed and the handicapping from the boosters. But year 2, we can't be trotting that same shyt out there like year 1. There was some improvement but also some regression, but that shyt is unacceptable against lower tier teams no matter the resources. Team should be developed enough to just line up and out athelete ULM, Wake, etc. 3rd string and walk-ons should be playing in the 3rd n 4th qtrs. No, we got our starters in going down to the final seconds with these schools.

Norvell doesn't get a pass either. Let him come out here stinking it up in year 2 and watch his support dwindle. Probably not as fast as Willie's, but it will. Can play with these peoples money.

And plus them fools(WC) was still talking about Stoops being the coach just last week. That ship never left the shipyard. Can't believe them.

Sims ain't budge when Willie got fired and for him to decommit right before the big official visit weekend means Norvell told him to look elsewhere. The kid was the glue to this class. Don't understand Norvell's move on this. We're not in the position in the QB room to be telling 4* Elite 11 Qbs to hit the bricks all cause we offered a 3* USF commit.
