Kings' owner Vivek Ranadive is reportedly frustrated with the rift between George Karl and DeMarcus Cousins because when Karl was hired he said he would not involve himself in personnel decisions.
The ones making the basketball decisions in Sacramento have repeatedly stated that they really have no desire to trade Cousins, so this really isn't a good look for Karl. To say the Kings' front office has been dysfunctional over the past few years would be a bit of an understatement, and if they end up firing Karl, the Kings would be with their fourth head coach in just two seasons of basketball.
Karl always creates mismatches on his own team. I was convinced he was an idiot when he kept on starting AI and Anthony Carter in the backcourt together.
It still blows my mind that Karl was giving a fringe nba-level player like Carter, 20+ minutes a game for a couple years. I never got Karl's love affair with Carter.
