DJ Mustard eating well all thanks to the e Bay music in the 90s, I got Short Dog's in the House in my car right now, but what are some of their acts right now? I'm not feeling SAGE THE GEMINI too much

Man I can't fukk with Sage at all, duke is ass.

The majority of music I listen to is from the West Coast but outside of Hiero I could never really fukk with Bay cats. Shorts got some dope tracks but I could never get into E40, Richie Rich, Keak Da Sneak, Messy Marv, Spice 1 etc

They are two different parts of a state? :mindblown:
I didn't realize nikkas from the same state had to be exactly the same.

cause for the most part, in most states... different parts of the same state are pretty much the same.

people don't realize how far away the Bay is from LA, it's not like it's a few cities over... it's literally like 5-6 hours away

you gotta put that shyt into context to people not from there.... cause it's literally the equivalent of asking why North Carolina cats aren't like cats in NYC.

shytttt Vallejo and Fairfield to LA is like a 6-7 hour drive without traffic..

it would be like comparing Cleveland to New York drive wise...

Dj Quik told us not to sleep on Oakland's gangsta 20 years ago

but back to @Purpdrank question why is La music on sum gangsta sh1t and Bay Area about fun... it has alot to do with some of the popular rappers that blew up first... lot of early people from Bay Area was bout having fun, pimpin, dancing, or just spittin game on the mic, most of the popular La cats was on sum gangsta sh1t

look at some of the early people that blew from La

some of the first people to blow from the Bay

Keak Da Sneak is another one. Spice, Young
if you're listening to LA function rap, it's more about partying and dancing....

but the bay in general, has been making music to dance to since the early 90's.... it just is what it is.

The Bay and LA are nearly 400 miles apart.... they're two different worlds.

Both locations have kinda the same the same lifestyle "warm winters, a lot of asians and Latinos, same government, a lot of people was LA got family in the Bay and vice versa, both have a lot of TX and Louisiana roots, they both love Kobe ans 2pac and ect
