Well I guess you really don’t know the meaning has changed liberal doesn’t literally mean liberal like conservative doesn’t mean conservative otherwise if the latter was really conservative they would be more careful about not allowing guns into the hands of mentally crazed lunatics. She's not completely wrong, just sounds kind of funny using diaper age because a lot of people can barely grasp non-verbal communication, especially with a baby.
But setting the tone early as you can with that kind of stuff is a good thing. When my kids were young they were taught that it doesn't matter who TF it is, if you don't want to be hugged, kissed, touched in any way, you are safe to decline. A lot of my family would try and push their boundaries at get togethers and they'd check them on that shyt from the jump because I instilled that in them early.
The kids in my family from my generation didn't have that kind of leeway.

Ok but the kids were old enough to know yes and no? They weren’t drooling and unable to sit up straight.
I mean communication starts before kids can even form yes/no answers. But even then, some kids wear diapers, especially if they wear cloth ones well past the point of worming around on the floor and drooling everywhere lol
