The End
ECF and WCF set.

One of the new stars is getting their first ring.

Who gets it?

Who benefits the most?

I can't make a decision as to who will win right now, but I think it benefits Shai the most. Winning MVP, chip, and presumably Finals MVP would be a hell of a one year run. Edit: Damn yeah I forgot about what it would do for Brunson, dude is royalty if he wins one for the Knicks.

My Pops Forever RIP
Shai- has the MVP and would top what might be one of the greatest non MJ seasons ever by a guard. However, OKC is the team most likely built to last, so this feels like a window that will stay open for him compared to everyone else.

Ant- would have credibility with everyone who wants to crown him and this might be the only chance he gets to do this. Also he could only be the only #1 since the lottery to win his first title without needing another #1 pick alongside him.

Brunson- would become undisputed KONY with a title and would be NY's first title in the 4 major sports since 2011 (Liberty, Gotham and NYCFC have rings. Otherwise the city has gone through a wild drought). He probably has the most to gain because NYC will never let people forget about Brunson til the end of time. Only negative would be that the East sucks so much that Brunson make it back by default.

Haliburton winning would be huge for Indiana and would be a "suck my dikk" to everyone. The teams who passed on him, the Kings for trading him, his peers who don't fukk with him. The only downside is that Haliburton is the one whose title would be celebrated the least going forward. This doesn't make him face of the league or whatever or put him in the HOF or make him the best PG. It can solidify him as the top heel of basketball, basically Reggie with a ring. If he leans into that, then he'll keep Indy on the map.

Yall fooling yourself if you think anything would be bigger than Brunson bringing a title to the Knicks. I can’t believe this is a question.

SGA winning a title just cements this as a great run. Brunson winning a title would turn that dude into a legend for all of eternity. There would be documentaries made in his honor. Nobody gives a shyt about OKC, you would hear about this Knicks title run until the day you die. OKC winning is a basketball story, the Knicks winning is a national story.

I have no earthly idea what Willis Reed looks like or the position he played. But what I do know is that nikka won titles with the Knicks!

The only player who could become more legendary is whoever the QB is the next time the Cowboys win it all.

Who is it: Shai
Who benefits the most: This is actually tough, but for building legacy I'll say Ant. Shai at least has some hardware to his name (MVP) while Ant doesn't yet. Brunson and Hali getting to the finals become city legends even more but don't think even winning it are elevated winning people's discussions for top 5 players in the league.
