So you're saying the Browns weren't a well run and respectable franchise before they went to Baltimore after the 1995 season?

nikkas went to 3 AFC Championship games over a 4 year span (1986 - 1989) and was a top team of the 80's before being stolen 6 years later.

From their inception in 1946 until 1995 when they left, a total of 50 seasons, they only had 12 losing seasons, played in 13 Championship games (winning 8), and playing in 18 Conference Championship games

The Cleveland Browns STILL have the 11th best all-time record in NFL history even though they've been horrible ever since they returned in 1999 (having only 2 winning seasons and 13 losing seasons since then). That should let you know how highly their all-time record was before then. They have more losing seasons in the last 15 years (13) then they had in the 50 seasons before they left (12). They also have the 6th most HOF inductees in NFL history.

Just because they're down now doesn't change their history as one of the greatest franchises in NFL history.....which is why the NFL gave us back another team in no time while fans in other cities wish they had a NFL franchise.
