Hell yeah thanks for these match lists and event names.... if any more cross yours or anyone else mines PLEASE drop em in this thread

Just watched Taker vs Edge TLC.... match was piff..... crazy to see Taker in a match like that doing stunts

I remember a TLC match that had the Dudleys, Hardys, Edge/Christain and Benoit/Jericho... anybody know which PPV that was?

Yeah, I was :ehh: at how well Taker and Edge worked that match. Their Hell In A Cell match was full of great spots too, and that demonic ending. :ohlawd: Looking back, those two matches were good precursors to how well he'd perform against Shawn Michaels the next year. It's actually a shame that they wasted so much of his time on feuds with clumsy giant oafs like Khali, Kozlov, Mark Henry, Big Show, Big Daddy V, Heidenreich, etc when he still had the capability to put on great matches with talent that actually knew how to wrestle.

As for other matches, here's a few I forgot yesterday:

Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar - Hell In A Cell
Edge vs John Cena - TLC Match (as someone else in here mentioned)
RVD vs Cesaro - Money In The Bank 2014
Triple H vs Daniel Bryan - Wrestlemania 30
Shawn Michaels vs Triple H vs Vacant - Wrestlemania 20

Takers actually becoming a great in ring performer again was actually quite amazing as I thought he was just useless after 2002

I forget which year it was but Taker vs Kurt Angle at no way out started a new peak in his career he changed his style actually started selling for smaller wrestlers and younger stars

I think he stole alot of how he worked a match after from angle but he did it well

This has some degree of truth to it, but I think it has more to do with the fact that he wasn't often put up against guys who could actually work a good match. From 2003-2008 he wasted so much time feuding with "monsters" that couldn't work a good match if their life depended on it. Off top he feuded with: Big Show, A-Train, Kane, Heidenreich, Mark Henry, Khali, Big Daddy V & Kozlov. Then when he wasn't feuding with those guys, it was with someone who was just decent or average in-ring like Orton, JBL, Batista, or Kennedy.

Kurt Angle just happened to be the first good in-ring performer that he worked with in years, and it showed. Similar results followed with Edge, Shawn Michaels and CM Punk. An Undertaker match usually mirrors the opponents in-ring skills, that's the way it's always been. He'll have an awful match with Khali, a decent match with Batista, and a great match with Shawn Michaels.

Nonetheless, the Angle match definitely forced him to step his in-ring game up like he hadn't in years.

Why do some people on here consider 2007-2008 the Ruthless Aggression era? :dwillhuh: I can never understand that logic, by that time Benoit and Eddie were both dead, Angle was in TNA, Lesnar was in UFC and Cena was dominating and ruining PPV's all across the world, so how is these terrible years considered RA? IMO, the Ruthless Aggression only lasted about 2 years from the summer of 02'- the early months of 04', and for most of those two years I only associated with Smackdown because Raw was still horrible for the most part.

I stopped watching for years and missed this era as well. Can I watch old episodes of Raw and Smackdown on the Network yet?

As it pertains to this thread, there's only a few eps of SD from the Ruthless Agression era on the Network. But they are great eps like the ones w/ Brock and Angles 60 min ironman match and a few others.

But if that's all ur getting the Network for, then I'd hold off til more is uploaded. You can watch the PPV's from that era, but they may not provide u w/ enough backstory without the RAW & SD to preceed them

Definitely check out the Smackdown Six era and any Lesnar/Angle matches. The Orton/Foley feud in 2004 was also dope.

Cena/Umaga (Last Man Standing)
Undertaker's feuds with Batista in 07 and Edge in 08 also have some gems.
Was this the match from the Royal Rumble that everyone says was a great match? I missed out on so much. I stopped watching the product for years.

Yup. Personally I didn't expect to amount to anything but it was one of the first good Cena matches where he didn't have a Jericho, Angle, or Triple H to hold his hand. Plus Umaga was just a beast.

I got the Network when it first dropped and I'm almost done rewatching sh*t I grew up on but I got interested in seeing stuff I missed since I have access to it

I'm on this Edge/Mysterio vs Benoit/Angle right now... awesome match

I saw Brock/Taker HIAC on YouTube before their WM30 match so I guess I'll watch again since its on the same PPV

I don't really know exactly what years RA are considered but I know its around the time I stopped watching.

I stopped watching around Taker being American Badass.... I don't even know when he changed his wrestling style up and became Deadman again and started usin submission moves

I didn't even know Kane eventually got some Ws over Taker either lol

The RA era was not too long ago(2007/2008)...

Also the Rock and Austin were still there(2002,2003,early 2004).

This brought in the brand extension back in 2002, which resulted in the start of the ruthless aggression era

2007/2008 was the start of the PG era

Ruthless Aggression Era was from WrestleMania 18 to Wrestlemania 24 (2002-2008). The WWE was still doing silly/violent shyt after Benoit and Eddie died so the PG era wasn't fully ushered in until 2008 when the TV rating actually went PG

thetown to global
for Punk, check out his ECW debut, his feud with Morrison culminating with him winning the ECW title, his MITB cash ins, and his Straight Edge Society heel run where he had the jesus beard

EDIT: oh and his feud with Jeff Hardy of course

Check out the Nexus too if you missed that, it involves Bryan's earlier WWE days before the beard and the push
