bottom line is this: if you have no pro basketball background, then you shouldnt be a studio analyst. the only people with no background that should be on pregame/postgame shows are the anchors.

im not gonna say anything bad about dude. he just shouldnt be on the show. and i remember hearing somebody on the radio saying that he admitted it himself in an interview. and i believe it, because he comes across on tv as if he knows that he doesnt belong there. i understand that espn wants to capitalize on the blogger crowd but this isnt the show for that.

so yes, bring jon barry back. throw in tim legler or chris mullin. ANYBODY!!! i dont see how yall can even watch that show. wilbon is a sucka-duck and magic has always been wack on television.

however...just about every writer is awful on air...yet they keep throwing these clowns on television with no charisma and no idea what they're doing

and Simmons isn't even the worst on the show...Magic is beyond terrible...great player...and I know that he's forgotten more basketball than I've ever known...but he's terrible on air...he struggles to get his thoughts out...half the time they aren't even coherent...he even does the Clark Kellogg memorial look at the wrong camera half the time.
