i am not a mike tirico fan first of all. second, i don't have any problem with this if it is really quoted as what he said and how he said it exactly.

with the way he seems to respect the black community by doing the speaking and appearances whether he's getting paid for it or not, makes me look at it like he accepts that pops was probably black..but he HONESTLY just doesn't know. he played in the nfl, probably around 50 yrs old and has went his whole life without knowing and/or caring so it's not a big deal him and despite being raised in a white neighborhood, he grew up and did all of this by our ages when it was still the 70s/80s...considering that, he's been "black" his whole life from a societal perspective.

i think he honestly just doesn't know exactly what his father was...his pops could have been from a number of central & south american races or ethnicity...depending on what your views on race are.
