Obama was black because he did work in inner city Chicago (south side) he married a full blooded black woman, so to whites and blacks he was a black person even though culturally I don't believe so (his track record and the fact he was raised in a white household in a white area) Kamala was seen as black because of the one drop rule, she isn't american black but caribbean (of which her dad is half black and mom full Indian) but because she "listened to 2pac and smoked weed in college" she was seen by black by her supporters. It's working with what you have and what sounds good (I don't consider Kamala black, Barack gets a pass bc Michelle isn't a c00n)

Funny thing is those who aren’t AA are the biggest supporters of the “we all black” mantra, yet will differentiate themselves and tell their ethnicity at any chance they get.
