Someone explain to me how Game 1 was the Cavs giving their "best shot"?

Check one post right above you. Terrible argument.

If LeBron hit that shot at the end then ultimately led the team to a win in overtime, you wouldn't have made this thread :camby:

You have a lot "IF, IF, IF," in your argument breh. :pachaha:

"If deli did this, if Shump gave more, if JR scored more" :dead:

If was used exactly twice in the post I told you to look at, a post which conveniently enough you decided not to respond properly to. I wonder why...

You think I haven't seen you post before breh? You're hot garbage on these boards..LeBron fukked your mom when you were little or something and you spam the same thing in every thread. 30,000 posts in 3 years. :mjlol:

Op acts like Steph or Klay couldn't of played better
What? They played about how they always do. Idk why people keep saying this.

Klay hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire this postseason since that Pelicans series. Go check his Posteason Gamelog since the Pels series. He is what he is, a good shooter who struggles to create his own shot.

And Curry gave you 26/8/4 on 50 percent shooting. He's good but he's not superman, that's definitely a typical great Steph performance especially when everyone on the Warriors was contributing.

Someone else definitely has to step up though. Tonight it was Mozgov who was that x-factor that I said they needed each game to have a chance but it still wasn't enough. The bench let them down and they have to bring a better effort Sunday. I know it's early but I feel the Cavs blew the series last night with that loss cause I don't think they beat them in game 2 and coming back from 2-0 probably isn't gonna happen. Especially with Kyrie hurt again too.

Curry, Thompson and Green combined to go 19-47 and they still won. Chances of them shooting that poorly again aren't very high.
The Steph-Klay-Dray trio is shooting 46 percent combined from the field this posteason with a caveat.

Excluding the NOP series where they faced an awful squad and percentages were significantly inflated (particularly for Klay who's fallen off dramatically since then), they're shooting 44 percent combined, with Curry alone heavily skewing that percentage higher than it actually is.

So I'm failing to see how them going 19/47 (40 %) against the best defensive team in the POs is some kind of anomaly. It's actually about right where it should be expected to be.

Keep pretending Steph and 2 mediocres is like the Heat Big 3 brehs. :mjlol:

I don't think you understand.

LeBron, Kyrie and Mozgov were the only 3 Cavaliers to score in the 2nd half.

Golden State, with all of their depth, and just about everyone contributing, playing on their homecourt where they're near untouchable, was laboring to beat a team that could only muster out offensive production from THREE GUYS.

I repeat, THREE GUYS.

Every single player who got minutes for GS last night both scored and contributed well and they barely skated by three guys.

Imagine if JR or Shump gave just a little more? Imagine if Delly actually took a god damn shot?

That's why I maintain that GS' defensive philosophy isn't sustainable. They wanna let LeBron eat and try to shut down everyone else, but even with that plan fully maximized yesterday (again, only 3 dudes scoring in the second half) they still barely won. JR, Shump, Jones, Delly, TT, can't play any worse offensively than they did in Game 1, 1 or 2 of them is bound to go up from there. Then what happens? Obviously a lot of this hinges on Kyrie's health, but I'm pretty sure he'll be returning. May miss a game.

Bruh, i know what you meant but saying that shyt out loud......................................Every team is at their best when everyone is hot, thats not something that applies just to the Cavs.

The Cavs didn't technically play their "best" but how often does EVERYTHING go right for a team? Not too often. The Cavs played closer to their top potential than the Warriors did that's all. Kyrie gave you much more than could be expected given his condition. No one on the Warriors really went off like that or played better than average. Altho Klay's been trash most of the playoffs so you can't really expect much from him at this point. With Kyrie out I don't see it going past 5 so this commentary is pointless anyway :yeshrug:

The thing that's an anomaly is the Cavs being the best defensive team in the playoffs. First of all, they're 4th in defensive rating in the postseason. They played 2 mediocre-to-bad offensive teams in the first 2 rounds and a fraudulent 1 seed that struggled to beat the Nets in the 1st and was middle of the pack offensively all postseason. Let's not act like the Cavs have the number 1 defense after having gone up against offenses like the Spurs, Clippers or Warriors all postseason.

Good thread, it's funny, Bron goes to the basket, scores, the arguments are completely different.. Crazy.. I would have to liked to see shump down the stretch and in the 4th, he gives u more variables vs Jr if Jr ain't on fire...

Let's ignore 9 bench points all from JR Smith. 0 from Delly. 0 from Jones.
Let's ignore that Tristan Thompson, as colossal as he was on the boards, played 47 minutes and posted up a massive 2 points.
Let's ignore that Shumpert and JR, 2 wings who've been key for the Cavs played some of the worst ball I've seen them play all postseason yesterday.
Let's ignore that Delly never looked to score and was playing scared af out there even though he's a great defender.

44/8/6. "Failed." "All on the King." lol dumbasses like you make sports unbearable.

If you actually watch games you'd know GSW's gameplan was to let Bron eat and defend everyone else. You could make the argument that it worked but regardless of how "great" GS' defense is, the other role players for Cle played like hot garbage and can really only get better from there. That's not a sustainable defensive model for GS.

Someone doesn't understand the effect of defensive schemes. It is the way you play Bron. Same way the Spurs played him and its proven to work 2 out of 3 series. The Cavs don't have many people that can create their own shot since Love is hurt. With Kyrie also being injured it only makes it worse.
Someone from the Cavs has to become a 20pt scorer with the way they run offense to be effective. High pick n roll to penetrate and dish. The Warriors are sagging off allowing a midrange or 3. They are not collapsing on him to get those guys wide open shots. Therefore Bron has to score.

The no double is very risky, but with Bron playing as well as he did with that tactic and GS still getting the win it is troubling.

The Cavs are going to have to run a real offense to get the other players shots. If they do that we got a series
