Oh I know all that. What Ja is saying is why are we treating a term that just meant black as something bad? Just cause white people did bad shyt to us while saying that word doesn't then make a word bad.

What happened was we internalized white supremacy and accepted that being black was something bad and to be ashamed of. That's why the word "******" which simply meant black became a pejorative. We gave it that power not white people. We accepted that being black aka a "******" was something to be ashamed of.

If our people had a true knowledge of self then being called a "******" would mean nothing cause we would have no shame over being black.
