So going by the tweets timeline and using the correct ages, she was 17 when the group formed and by the age of 18 she was in a relationship with 24 year old clef.

Yeah think 16 -17 about correct. My cousin was the same year as Lauryn at Columbia and cool wit her, think he said they was like sophomores juniors when the group was beginning.
Same time i remember him saying he dont know how they really started and it didnt really make sense other than Kool & The Gang being connected to it.
