Well, that's enough. Clearly an inside job, it was the US government.

Edit: It's not a very unrealistic scenario, and it's not unlikely to name the largest of anything something containing "titan".

I thought it was going to be one of those, I folded a dollar bill from 1900 and it showed a sinking ship.

this thread is all jokes but theres a conspiracy about the titanic that it was an insurance scheme gone horribly wrong.
that the titanic was built to replace an older ship. and they switched the ships out and put the older one that was cheaply renovated to look newer onto the sea.
pictures prove this because the ship that was built and pictured didnt match the picture of the titanic that sailed that day.
they wanted to make it hit an iceburg and rescue all and get $$$$$$$$$$.
but it sank faster than it should of. and the rescue ship got the location messed up.
it was all a plan gone wrong.....

Yep. 15,000 shipyard workers who worked on the Titanic and Olympic (which it was switched with) kept it a secret for over a 100 years.

captain smith was involved in it too. its sad that when the plan went wrong and he went down with the ship, they tarnished his name and made him look like an old fool who couldnt command a ship proper.
IF the plan went through as planned, Smith wouldve retired with all that $$$ promised and it would have been a terrible accident that brought down a expensive ship with no fatalities.
