I'm watching the Grizzlies look like a shell of last years team and have yet to figure out not only why Hollins was let go, but why he didn't get a job immediately? Thoughts?

It looks like he is trying to have them play up tempo though, which is contrary to their personnel. He is going to have a rough time trying to force this team to change its stripes.

Actually these white people in Memphis loved Hollins. At the three games I've been to this year it was the white people who started "We want Hollins" chants. I was amazed at how much the city was behind him.
He was let go because of Hollinger. Him and Hollins didn't see eye to eye on the amount of influence the front office should have on practice and on the court issues.

he plateaued with this team. he was horrible in the 2012 clippers series, and he's too stubborn to at least tweak his offense.

But he didn't even get another look at a HC position. You can't really say he plateaued because he got better every year. Didn't they knock OKC out last year?
Yeah... in the first half they slowed the game down and they just bullied their way on the Rockets.. He has to adjust, I'm surprised he's not running the same offense.
