he plateaued with this team. he was horrible in the 2012 clippers series, and he's too stubborn to at least tweak his offense.

he isn't the 1st successful coach to be let go.
To be fair he rarely had a full deck to play with... No Rudy..then no Zbo..then then Rudy trade (still against for that team)

But he didn't even get another look at a HC position. You can't really say he plateaued because he got better every year. Didn't they knock OKC out last year?
while we were winning games last year, the offense was terrible, and it was gonna plague us come playoff time. it was z-bo or bust.he never bothered to develop a bench.

in some ways, we're like OKC in that brooks has no offense and depends on KD and westbrook all game.

Play fast paced with no shooters breh.

isn't that the point though to avoid the jump shoot.....

but yea you cant put it all on joerger he has little to work with, that roster is looking turrible...we all know what gasol can do they'll be better when he's back....I didnt know pondexter was out for they year though, that another huge blow right there.....

Are you happy with the move and the replacement? What's the feeling amongst Grizzlies fans?

Most grizzlies fans didn't want him gone, we wanted more offensive talent on the team. Given this is Memphis it's not easy to get that talent in free agency though.

i was 50/50 on him leaving. he did some really good things(accountability, defense) and some really awful shyt(lack of offense, no bench, lack of trust in young players). he was set in his ways, so nothing was gonna change with this team.

but I wanted to see joerger for continuity reasons and he ran the defense. but if he's gonna be a hollins clone, then they might as well have kept lionel..

i was def :dwillhuh: after hearing he got fired. To be fair, his roster was always changing, cuz management was looking to cut costs as much as possible. They lost some great role players and as a result lost their deep bench that made them so dangerous. But he was always able to get the most out of his bigs no matter who they brought on that team. All they needed was to get some shooters so teams couldn't zone them out in the playoffs. That year they had battier, was prob their best season.

honestly he would've been perfect for the nets, or a team full of vets who wouldn't cry over some yelling.

:wtf: Didn't they have their best year ever, last year? You can't plateau unless you actually get a chance to do better, and then don't.
