Probably got to do with the fact that Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart would never have the heart to do the kind of matches Danielson did with KENTA in Japan amongst other things. Wrestling 45 minutes a night across the world outside of the WWE proving he had no equal...he was the best thing in the ring once Eddie died. Not to mention he's MORE real on the mic than anyone you want to mark out for.

Benoit was more over than Bryan in the first match? Nah..they turned on Shawn and a lot of Let's go Benoit chants but the scene at the opening bell was ABSURD.
