The white family will never accept the black husband/wife. The black family will "play nice" but, they don't truly accept them either. And any time there's a heated discussion, the real feelings about Todd or Becky will come out

No one in my family has married a nonblack person but I'm sure we'd be accepting of them to their faces. It's when they leave that we'd probably start questioning it.
