Yeah, it's MS's fault Sony got greedy and started charging for multiplayer. Come on, breh...

But on topic. I doubt they will stop charging. People always make the mistake of assuming console owners know or even give a fukk about what's happening on the PC side. XBL is the type of charge that people sign up for, it comes of their card automatically and they never think about it again.
Because live is still more reliable than psn,

Sony doesnt have the cash to drop the ps+ requirement. That's one of their biggest money makers.

And selling consoles does not make them any money. The 20 million sold is merely a vehicle to make money off of other things like PS+. They'd be throwing a bunch of money away for good PR.
Absolutely it is. If you see that mufukkaz are gonna pay for some shyt even though it shouldn't be a fee, you gonna follow suit. It's free money. That's always been my biggest beef with Live is that I knew eventually others would follow suit on the nickel and diming.

I know it's greed, that's basically what I'm implying....if mufukkaz are dumb enough or don't have a choice but to pay, they will.
My thing is....I would STILL pay for PS Plus even if online multi was free like I've been doing since it started because of the perks you get.
In terms of reliability its not better than live

XBL is faster but that has something to do with Sony's using cheaper internal hardware for internet speed or whatever
It's in the box and has nothing to do with the actual network
Not even just that, psn is down for maintenance ALOT, and always right in the middle of the day,
Microsoft is also making upgrades to live all the time, you nikkas laugh now but that cloud shyt will end up benefiting xbox live eventually,
Nothing has really changed from ps+ on ps3 other than the network being more reliable
