The elephant in the room is that most new artists ain't really hitting like that and we got the streaming numbers to back it. It ain't just us old heads clinging to our Nastradamus bootlegs, industry wide people are pumping old music over new like never before. I'll bump some of the newer stuff, but I'm not about to be fake head nodding just to seem with it. Add to the fact that forums themselves are a flabby and sick sanctuary and it makes sense the booth is what it is.

Any recs?

Newest artist I discovered last year was Fly Anakin

Haven't really found any other new people forreal. Not anybody with a full project at least

I'm ready for a new era of rappers but I don't know who could have next

It don't seem like lyricism and artistry are gonna be common in the era of tiktok and streaming numbers :francis:

Really miss that era of nipsey, krit, spitta, gibbs, tde, dreamville, and pro era all dropping heat :mjcry:

Rap/Hip-hop in it's current state is not really worth getting excited about, except for the main superstars.

I appreciate seeing the stories of the past, cause I was too young to know what was really going on in hip-hop at the time outside of what 106 & Park and Access Granted showed me.
