The Mountain Goats have shared a new track titled “Song for Sasha Banks.” As the title suggests, it's a tribute to the WWE professional wrestler who, alongside Charlotte Flair, was one of the first women to headline a pay-per-view event for the company. The song was specifically requested by Banks following the release of the Mountain Goats’ wrestling-themed album Beat the Champ. In the song, frontman John Darnielle sings about watching wrestling on Thursday nights and mentions Canadian wrestling legend Chris Jericho. The band’s most recent studio album Goths was released last year.
