this happened to play on my ipod on Sunday
i started daydreaming and thinking what if nas dropped a video on his instagram for this out of the blue on mother's day
he'd be in the middle of an empty ballroom holding his mom's wedding dress (like he was holding kelis' on life is good) and rapping while the walls show a montage of him as a kid with his moms. then suddenly the dress begins to fill out with a woman's shape and the camera pans up and we see his mother's smiling face!
nas grips her tightly and they share a dance while he raps.
at the end when he says "i love you forever," the background opens up and we see a glimpse of heaven. she smiles at him, turns around and slowly starts to walk and fade into the bright light, sort of like patrick swayze at the end of ghost. we see nas staring at her as she walks away, and then we see jungle and destiny walk up to nas and put their arms around him. olu dara plays the horn solo in the background looking dapper in a suit with shades covering his eyes.

There were 2 moments in my life when i busted out my face watching the 6 Feet Deep video by Geto Boys. The song is sad enough but the lyrics are so depressing that when high and really focused this song always tugs at the heart strings. Faces' 3rd verse is the one that always does me in. Do not listen to this song when feeling sad.
