I've heard this song all my life. Before there were CDs I remember hearing this song on the radio. I never knew George Michael was fruitopian till many years later, and I'm just realizing in the last few years it was him singing the song below. By that point, this song, was already ingrained as a dope track to me. I just saw the video for the first time a few months ago, which has a female love interest.
He's not from Harlem, but the song is just part of 80s to me, like so many other epic 80s tracks.
