Why not? Nintendo have been the strongest supporters of Sonic since Sega went software
You right, cause SEGA and Nintendo are one of the last gaming companies that still want to innovate, but the way that the gaming community was talking down on Sonic a few years ago, everyone thought that he was finished. Now the Sonic franchise rebounded and is one of the main franchises that will sell Wii U systems.

Mario's existence is not in jeopardy even slightly. Not like new Zelda and Mario games ain't just around the corner anyways
