The only time I felt embarrassed as a man, was when I was walking past a construction site and there was a girl walking in front of me. She wasn't wearing anything to show off, okay jeans may have been a little tight but thats it. Anyhow these dudes to start with were just wolf whistling, but when she didn't respond they get nasty.They were yelling 'think you are too good for us you snobby bytch', 'what you need is a good fukk'. shyt like that, It wasn't one or two the whole crew was yelling shyt at her.
I am really surprised their supervisor didn't tell them to shut the fukk up.They all needed to lose their jobs in my opinion. fukking ridiculous. But as for standard cat calling, I personally think it low class but not that offensive. .The problem is ,some women do like it, they like being given attention from men, but others don't. They are shy or self concious, doesn't mean they are up themselves or whatever. I wouldn't do it, .To be honest, I think if dudes were being cat called, by old, fat women , which many of the dudes are who do the cat calling are, we would get tired of it at some point as well. A few times,not very often I admit I have walked past a big gang of drunken girls on my own after locking up the gym at night and had sexual comments made to me. You can take comments like that several ways, as sometimes the person who made the comments doesn't even like the look of you, they are said to make you uncomfortable or to impressive their friends. Now I didn't feel threatened like a woman probably would if it was a group of men, but it is embarrasing I think is the correct term.
Now if a girl happened to see me in the street walked over during the day and started talked to me like an intelligent human being ,that is completely different. Not 'get your cock out', or 'nice arse'. or 'chantel wants to give you a blowjob come back' or screaming 'whats your name'.
, there is a difference between cat calling , and actually talking to someone you like the look of. Maybe if idiots didn't cat call, then more females may be more receptive to a man talking to them.
