Difficult to announce pre-orders for a console that they may not be able to manufacture in large enough numbers.
I don't think that's coming anytime soon. We don't even have an official price point.
But what is going to be interesting is when Microsoft starts pushing the payment plans. Can't afford 599 at launch. No problem, for 39.99 a month for 2 years you can get gamepass, live and a XSX.
Both are dropping this year.
Xbox for sure dropping, if the Xbox wasn't dropping the Sony might have pushed the release back. But Microsoft is big blind in this upcoming gen of system releases

I was raised that except for houses and cars, if you can’t pay for something that you want right out then you can’t afford it , good to see Microsoft putting debt on the people though

well phil just had an interview yesterday and he says they're on track to release on time...of course things could change
That would be a monster deal if that happened.
$100 down, $30-40 a month till paid off, with gamepass included. That's exactly how the average person is able to afford the newest smartphone every year.
If people can't see this they're blind
New apple still dropping, but I'd imagine their returns on their hardware higher than these two companies. Plus their items can be financed.

Xbox $600
Still manageable, but you know people will put themselves in the hole for this. Extra controller, 1 year sub and a game could have you cleared out of $650-$800
PS3 and 360 launch prices are likely with these systems.
