I know some healthcare workers that were making close to $20/hour 20 years ago and them same places are barely paying $23/hour now :dead: :mjlol:

I shouldn't laugh because that's part of the reason why healthcare is so fukked up in our country but that's the reality.

Also, I remember my parents buying me N64 games at $69.99 and lookin at me like I was crazy and the game better be worth it lol

I specifically said game prices are cheaper in comparison to 30 years ago. 90 dollars for SF2 in 1992 is a helluva lot more expensive then than now
That's why I said the gaming has significantly expanded as a business since then. Companies reduced game prices to have wider appeal and adjust their prices based on supply and demand. Developers know $90 for an AAA game today is not going to sell well. Not as much of a problem in 1992 when gaming was not as popular as it is today.

Even at 90 dollars now, it doesn't compare to what we paid then tho.

I deadass can't believe brehs are in here saying "you better cop that Pro now" like nikka what?

Stop buying mid Gen refreshes and teach these companies to either optimize their titles or scale back their games.

Buying Pros just reinforces that bad behavior.

Wifey kept telling me that she wanted to start gaming again but not on PC. I finally went and got her a PS5 Pro. That $750 price tag along with the cost of a second controller did give me pause... She is loving it and I gotta say that I as a PC gamer am also impressed by the PS5 Pro, the controllers are easily the best I've ever used.

That being said, $900 for a PS5 Pro is wild wild.

With how things are going now, ps6 will cost 1k+ :mjlol:

If people felt a type of way in regards to how this generation was held back by the PS4, it's going to be double that with the PS6. The PS5 had to deal with scalpers, COVID restrictions (developers having to shift to WFH) and a big PS4 player base. The PS5 has to deal with people not wanting to jump ship due to this generation feeling "empty" (because of Sony wanting that live service money.... :francis:), rising costs due to AI, economic turbulence in general, and game development time taking 5+ years. Most people you ask, they'd tell you there's no need for a PS6 so soon, even though it's following the same timeline we've always had for console releases. But that just goes to how the current times are.
