Only thing Sony has to do is confirm dedicated servers and its game over for X-box One. We already know when its all said and done which system will have the better exclusives.
:snoop: Developers/publishers pay for & are responsible for servers for their OWN games. Sony is ONLY responsible for their own 1st & 2nd party games.

They still have to Pay for it!!!! They not getting to use Windows Azure servers for free. If you think every game on Xbox1 is gonna use dedicated servers on Windows Azure, you're delusional.

It's not just about paying for it.

Microsoft has built tools to make it much easier to implement, and they manage the servers so devs don't have to worry about how many to buy and where to buy them.

That's why "the cloud" is much more than simply dedicated servers. With dedicated servers all the legwork is on the devs, with the cloud all they have to do is sign up for it and everything is done for them.

@MeachTheMonster just give up. Remember the old saying it takes a fool to argue with a fool. I get your point and believe it or not they do too. But of course they will deflect, change subjects, etc. You are arguing from a point of logic, they are arguing like women.

So what is this Xbox Live Cloud stuff then ?
Microsoft has a cloud service called Azure (it’s a real thing – you can go on their website right now and pay for servers and use them to run whatever you want). Microsoft realized that they could use that technology to solve our problem.

So they built this powerful system to let us create all sorts of tasks that they will run for us, and it can scale up and down automatically as players come and go. We can upload new programs for them to run and they handle the deployment for us. And they’ll host our game servers for other platforms, too! Titanfall uses the Xbox Live Cloud to run dedicated servers for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

But it’s not just for dedicated servers – Microsoft thought about our problem in a bigger way. Developers aren’t going to just want dedicated servers – they’ll have all kinds of features that need a server to do some kind of work to make games better. Look at Forza 5, which studies your driving style in order to create custom AI that behaves like you do. That’s totally different from what Titanfall uses it for, and it’s really cool! So it’s not accurate to say that the Xbox Live Cloud is simply a system for running dedicated servers – it can do a lot more than that.

How is this different from other dedicated servers?
With the Xbox Live Cloud, we don’t have to worry about estimating how many servers we’ll need on launch day. We don’t have to find ISPs all over the globe and rent servers from each one. We don’t have to maintain the servers or copy new builds to every server. That lets us focus on things that make our game more fun. And best yet, Microsoft has datacenters all over the world, so everyone playing our game should have a consistent, low latency connection to their local datacenter.

Most importantly to us, Microsoft priced it so that it’s far more affordable than other hosting options – their goal here is to get more awesome games, not to nickel-and-dime developers. So because of this, dedicated servers are much more of a realistic option for developers who don’t want to make compromises on their player experience, and it opens up a lot more things that we can do in an online game.

^^^^^ and this goes back to my original point.

Microsoft has extensively detailed and demoed their feature set.

Do we have any info on how gaikai will work, or how it will make cloud gaming better than it has been in the past?

If it can work on a Samsung Smart TV, I don't see why it can't work on the PS4.

It can work. But it has not worked well enough to catch on. Too much lag and limited performance.

Has sony talked about how they will improve upon this? If its already working then why won't it be ready for launch?

Sony has a history of over promising and under delivering. If you still blindly buy their products that's your choice. But quit acting like their products are just perfect and we should all trust them. If this was the other way around and Microsoft hadn't shown off their stuff, y'all would be all over it. But since its Sony, I'm stupid for saying they need to show the stuff working:rudy:
yall? I never questioned a multibillion dollars corporations claims unless its some blantant bullshyt like the cloud making the 180 18 times more powerful than the 360...the endless power of the cloud straight bs spewing..sony claims were demonstrated and not that spectaculars to pull off...you out here questioning operation systems and video recording whrn its been done for decades by reviewers..you questioning remote play when sony has the technology already running on their older devices..sony has awesome ideas but its nothing mind blowing and impossible to accomplish because its existing technology unlike the fukking clouds endless possibility bs microsoft spew..
