So directly from Shuhei Yoshida himself, this is the SAME EXACT GAME, with updated graphics. We can argue until we're blue in the face about the differences between "remake" and "remaster". (To me, you say "remake" and I'm expecting the same characters and story overall, but with loads of additional content, and maybe even new characters and music. - Sort of like with movies. If you take the same movie, shot for shot, and increase the resolution, or touch up the effects, it's a remaster. If you take a movie, like the recently released "Steve King's IT", that's a complete remake of a movie. Same story, but different cast, different presentation, and elements throughout.)
But I digress...Bottom line, this is the same exact game. 1:1. No discernible differences other than graphics from the original game that EVERY Sony Stan already owns if they've been telling the truth. I don't agree with Yoshida calling this a remake.

Actually Court is 100% right with this....well...99.9% because this is the case even with OG XB1.
Sony sells the same exact games with upscaled resolution and a lot of times 1:1 ports.
MS lets you take the same exact games and will let you play them on disc or digitally, with upscaled resolution and in some cases better performance for free.
You already know this. The question is, why are you pretending otherwise?

Educate me then. Is every pre-PS4 game on the PSN an HD remake?
(And all this aside...you know my point. Sony is selling literally the same games over and over. There's no justification for it. If you want to argue that on PS4 when you buy red dead redemption the resolution is bumped up a little, why don't you have to pay for it on XB1?)
It's indefensible. Just admit that MS has done a great job with Backwards Compatibility. You're a young man. I'm sure you won't die of a heart attack from it.

Here's the problem with your post and the logic of others. First off, you guys don't wanna game on hd-crt's anymore 2ndly, just because you're jealous fanboys does not mean other games do not exist so acting like that is immature. I see your list of games and not all of them will launch on time, not all of them will be good. Add in the Xbox games and the multiplats (anthem, red dead 2, metro) and you'll quickly see there isn't enough time to play all of those games in 2018 unless you play games 18hrs a day.

So enjoy telling yourself your choice is the right choice. There's a good chance you'll never really know because who has THAT much time? Life is short, don't waste it waiting on The Last Guardian...

But yes 2018 does look solid for PS4 releases.

Come on breh. You gotta hope that Microsoft has better up it's sleve than Crackdown, Sea of thieves and State of decay.

Halo 6 has to be mindblowing, Forza Horizon has to do something radically different and there has to be a new AAA ip.

Cus if the only appeal is a more powerful console to play the same dead multiplats...You are better served just building a PC.

Also this backwards compatibility thing is stupid. Microsoft is doing a great thing with BC. Nobody can deny that.

Sony is greedy and doesn't give a fukk. Nobody can deny that either.

But that doesn't change the fact that a remake is a remake. MCC existed years before BC was a thing and people don't hold Microsoft's feet to the fire over it.

If BC is something that is that massively important to you, you should be buying an Xbox. The end. It's not going to happen on PS4.
