I don't think Sony ever announced that Bluetooth headsets will work. I think folks just assumed it would work because the PS4 has Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR. I'm Interested to know why Bluetooth headsets won't work at launch, though.

I have a theory on why it won't work bruh (the non bolded part) because somebody once made a thread on how the PS4 wasn't future proof and he was laughed at IN that same thread it was mentioned how 2nd screen functionality would be a pipedream for PS4 because of blue-tooth. And til this day we still haven't seen 2nd screen gaming in the wild for PS4. Just controlled demos. Maybe they pulled a "180" like they have a history of doing? (PS3 was backwards compatible for like 3weeks)

i've been using a $30 headset for years now so there's literally no fuks given about this topic

I have a Pulse Elite... I got it for $75

I wouldn't pay over $100 for any headset but thats my personal opinion
