Planetside 2 has been out awhile now on PC, let me tell you... no one gives a single fukk about this game.. good in concept, but horribly released and horribly advertised and because of that no one plays or cares about it.
pretty much.. over bases.. but the community is so dead and hardly anyone plays it that even the big fights are not that big
The only real MMO and one that will actually be popular coming out for consoles will be Elder Scrolls Online

I'm pretty sure the main reason folks stopped playing the game is because of how unoptimized the game is on PC. It's a game that gives folks with i5 CPUs trouble. Because the game is gonna released be on PS4, they're finally fixing the issues. The big patch that they recently released is supposed to be the start to fix those issues. performance on PC is pretty good now. but I don't have an AMD chip, and I barely played before that patch
they are different games. ps2 is more like a huge game of battlefield, than what people would think of as an "MMO"

Battlefield is battlefield... has more action than Planetside 2 right now, community in planetside 2 is non existent and with a game like that the battles are small now even though they are supposed to be huge.
They have a lot to work on with ESO ill agree (adding a minimap, easier to find people, more interaction) and that will make it more enjoyable. I was getting lost even in the early levels
no one will have a good time getting lost at level 3 if people get frustrated early, they just give up MMOs and never resubscribe and then the game diesthat AND the controls are HORRIBLE.. its like the controls want to be guild wars 2 but its not as smooth.. but thats why its a beta
World of Warcraft beta used to be rated Mature and have tons of blood like Age of Conan and was graphic intense
but they dumbed down the game to double their dollars
and it worked 
ESO will have to do something along those lines.. (adding a strafe, making it so using abilities is easier)
but with all that said, its still a popular name unlike planetside 2 and everquest so it wont flop (at least at first)

Nah I played DOTA 2 but now I only play battlefield 4 until Titanfall comes out

Watched the demo of this, looks good, not as good as TitanFall. I suppose their not directly comparable. But the reason I like TitanFall is the use of the jetpacks, which brings me back to my Tribes days.
