my bad they updated it to work with blurays, it originally didnt.
still no netflix though

Word? Oh ok, I didn't know that. I only got mine about a month and a 1/2 ago. Loving them, cept for that I think the cheap ass super slim ps3 I got has loose usb ports and my audio sometimes goes in and out inexplicably. That and the battery life could be better. Otherwise, they mostly work really well with the ps3 and computer and also, the iphone/pad and vita. On a good note with the portable devices, you can connect the headphone jack into the phones and use the headset w/o cutting them on, though you won't have access to the bass boost and extra audio quality.

what about the audio though? The headphone jack on a house phone is both? (thought it was just output, not input)

Do you mean if you can use it for voice chat on a house phone? Ionno, I haven't owned a landline phone in years. It works on the iphone though, but I believe you have to do it vita the usb dongle connected into an iphone/pad charger and then put the headphone jack into the phone connected to the dongle. THat way, you can use voice chat on the phone and you'd be "wireless".

yea Best buy said they would match amazon price

what's wrong with these joints?
Those have better battery life but it doesn't have the equalizer presets or the bass impact and the sound quality not as good as the pulse I have those too which I use while charging the pulse. The pulse is a major upgrade over these yo

Quick lil comparison I found
O05hI.jpg

The new PS3 Pulse headset (left), seen here with the old PS3 official wireless headset for size comparison.

- Old one has good sound quality, new one is excellent, no matter for vocal, instrumental or gaming. Bass is strong in this one (there is a slider for bass impact).
- Old one can work on PS3 and PC (wireless) but not other devices like phone, tablet, mp3 player. The new one has standard 3.5mm headphone jack for wired connection to those devices.
- Mic is hidden in the new one. Mic quality is better, clearer, according to my coop partner.
- One thing I don't like about the new one: cannot turn off the DSP mode. The mode is supposed to be for the bass impact, so maybe it is not DSP mode per se, but anyway I would prefer neutral.
