I think the point that many are missing is that outside of hard core gamers, the masses are really into what we call "multi-plat"(half never even heard of his term) titles....and for the most part these are the franchises that sell huge. When they see or hear that one "looks" better than the other, that is enough to sway the typical buyer. Also the price point helps...

earliest is in anticipation of the holiday season around fall. dropping now would be a CLEAR sign of they know they fukked up. Thing is, even with a drop or even matching the PS4 price, it's not gonna change the fact it's a weaker console. These constant multiplat disparities aint going nowhere.
A lot of MS investors already getting tired of the Entertainment division. They don't make the kind of money that the rest of MS swims in. It'll be spun off sooner than later at this rate.

Could happen. With the new CEO, who knows? The XB1 still has a ton of potential. They changed the DRM policy (I wish they didn't, I think the pros could have far outweighed the cons if done right). They should go the "value" route since they can't compete on raw power. I enjoy it, but I can't front like they're not going to take a beating at this rate. Titanfall should only be able to be played on an XB1, ALL the AA and AAA exclusives should be taken off PC and 360, this is go hard or go home time. Sony came correct as far as the system, so they need to adjust before they blow what momentum they have left. I do feel that XB1 has the better catalog now and for the near future, and that Kinect/TV/etc have merit if worked, but these advantages are temporary.
@midwesthiphop - See above. I love my XB1, but there are some glaring issues here.

The good thing with TF is that Respawn controls their IP going forward. I know they didn't expect EA to make the deal with MS like they did ESPECIALLY considering that EA wants their own Call of Duty type game. TF could have been the game to do so. Making it Xbox Exclusive was dumb as fukk if you trying to topple the COD behemoth.
But knowing EA, they'll jump back on Sony's dikk soon enough with these figures and the momentum of the PS4.

we don't need competition for competitions sake, we need competition so that the companies are forced to make better products.
it would be worse for competition if Microsoft actually got rewarded for the half ass effort they made this gen when it came to specs. they intentionally put out a system with less than great specs so they could make the system a more all-around product rather than staying with their roots and committing to gaming

I'm glad Sony is burying them. Cause maybe by next gen, Microsoft will actually focus on gaming rather than all that other bullshyt.
naw even without it Xbox specs were inferior to the PS4. nikkas would still buy the PS4 cause it had better graphics.
