:ehh:Time to call a truce bruhs, the console wars been fun. But eventually everything comes to an end. Exclusives are now a thing of the past(or at least is getting there)…unless you’re Nintendo. Companies want to make more money, and consumers get more options to play where they want. :salute: See y’all in them cross-play streets.

What 1P exclusives? The only ones left are Astro, Demon's Souls and GT7.

And that's because that selling point you're talking about went from actual console exclusives last generation, to timed exclusives this generation with how Sony is drip feeding all of their games to PC (and now Xbox and Switch too).

We all know this pivot would've happened sooner and at a much larger scale, if Sony was successful with their live service initiative this gen.

The answer to all of this is GAAS. There is no change from their policy from 5 years ago. The single players stuff will remain PS5 console exclusive.

I tried saying this was probably GAAS and online games yet these nikkas ran with this. This was too ambiguous to conclude anything else beyond that. The whole selling point of playstation are the exclusives with cross platform games as a bonus.

Welp there you have it I guess single player games aren't coming to Xbox.

Maybe they will but it won't be the time when they're actually relevant. These games are a honey pot to attract buyers into the PlayStation ecosystem. Those buyers then buy other games on the platform and DLC giving Sony more money.

They aren't going to day 1 everything everywhere and destroy the #1 incentive to buy into that ecosystem until it makes more sense to do that than not do it. I don't get why people are playing dumb about this. This is an attempt to squeeze more from games that have sold about everything they will ever sell on PlayStation it's not some leading business strategy to be everywhere.

The reason Microsoft is everywhere now is because their ecosystem wasn't boosted by these exclusive games and the ecosystem can't support them as it's not large enough. If Sony ever finds themselves in that position they'll probably do the same.
