I think you're missing the point, if they took even half the amount of PS5s being released online and put them in stores the resale demand for them would drop dramatically and make them more attainable for the common consumer.

The shortage in combination with the fact that the releases are online only is the problem. Even the switch wasn't this hard to get and they had a shortage of those also.

It really doesn't matter What games are out that demands owning a PS5? I check the news every now and then to see if it's available. If it is I'll buy it, but man there is absolutely no reason to be pressed to purchase a PS5 at the moment.

Where I'm at with it at this point. I was only copping 3 games for it and Demon's Souls was the only exclusive, and that's a remake

But this drought got people acting like Ratchet & Clank really move systems

That's a remake, glorified DLC, a game from a middle of the pack game series that's suddenly been hyped by stans, a launch title that will be forgotten when more games come out, and another part of another remake in that order.

Eh to me only SpiderMan and Integrade got my interest. And with my backlog, I am more than willing to wait on SpiderMan at this point.

demon souls and returnal are ps5 exclusive. check those out. control is cross gen but looks amazing on the ps5 w/ raytracing. cold war isn't bad and not trash like people say but you might not fukk w/ the latest COD. spiderman remastered if you didn't play spiderman ps4 is also ps5 exclusive. couple of other cross gen games exclusives/multiplats. RE8 is pretty good ff7 ps5 upgrade is coming w/ dlc if you are into that. then we have kena in august and some other 2nd half 2021 announcements sony is going to make in june e.g.
hopefully they announce factions for fall or early 2022, horizon's fall release date, ragnarok's release date which could be this fall or around March 2022, the 2nd half 2021 lineup, etc.
Probably some games I missed but there are a steady stream of games releasing for the rest of the year if COVID doesn't continue to fukk things up

Well if none of those games appeal to you... yeah they aren't worth playing and a PS5 isn't worth having . I passed up on getting a PS5 right when preorders opened because the only game I was interested in was Ghost of Tsushima. I knew that wasn't going to hold me over until they released another game that I really wanted to play . I know the crux of the console warrior's battle is the inability to understand that not everybody likes the same thing, but it happens.

I had low hopes for the PS5 (and the XSX for that matter) when it dropped because there weren’t many games available at launch, but I went through a shytload of trouble to finally preorder one because I saw the writing on the wall for the long term availability. Glad I got to cop one because you don’t even really see intermittent console drops anymore.

Hopefully Sony is able to get some more of out in the wild soon to really get this generation kick started.
