I understand the parallel you are trying to make. Problem is, if i come upon hard times and decide to say fukk it to the internet, or i have a service outage, I can still play the game on X1 or PS4. BUT i would be up shiites creek with the prior xbox policies.
If i fall upon hard times and say fukk it and sell my tv, then I won't be playin a game anyway

And I don't know anyone without the Internet

Actually I know a couple. They use they cell phone for they website needs. They like games, they just don't fukk with that online shyt.
