They make these games to encourage people to buy their platform. They'll port them out after its gone through that and they've maximized on that impact.

If they put these games day and date on another platform they have to give up 30% of the revenue on those sales to some other company and it minimizes the impact of encouraging people to buy their own platform. What logical reason is there to weaken their own platform and revenue like that?

It isn't redundant hardware because it gives you access to stuff you don't have like day 1 Sony (and some Rockstar) games and the games they don't port. Same with Nintendo.

I'm not saying people who have a PC and decide not to buy Sony hardware are doing some broke ass shit I'm saying the people who have PCs and sit back and pine about being able to play Sony games on a PC day 1 when they know it makes no logical sense for Sony to do it and refuse to buy the hardware that gives them access to what they want are doing some broke ass shit.

If something is your hobby and you want to enjoy a perk of it you either spend what it takes to get that or don't and deal with the world as it is.
