I don't know about anyone else, but every time there's a sports issue that leaks into the mainstream media (Tim Tebow's christianity, Incognito, Manti T'eo, Jason Collins), I just :snoop: because I know some of these CNN/Fox News pundits will make a fluff piece on it.
Watching snippets of Melissa Harris-Perry and Media Buzz, and they're talking about the Richard Sherman incident. Of course, there's stumbling over athlete names, everything seems forced and cliched, they invited people with minimal sports experience and exposure to locker room culture, and it's just cringeworthy...
If I wanted to listen to sports issues being discussed seriously, I would put the TV on a sports channel where there's actual former athletes and coaches and sports journalists who know what the fukk they're talking about.
Unless there's something major like a color barrier broken, Congressional decisions involving sports, or an international incident, these outlets have more important news to talk about. At least that's what I think.

some things are more social commentary than on the field commentary and should be discussed. you don't have to know a cover 3 in order to know that Sherman being called a thug is another way to call him a ******
