On one hand, with cp3 LAC is built somewhat similar to OKC with the 2 stars (one a top pg, another a top forward) and a bunch of solid role players around that core.
on the other hand, cp3/blake as a tandem just can't generate the type of offense that westbrook/durant can, blake just aint there yet and i'm not sure he's gonna turn into that type of player that can give you an easy 30 whenever you need it. you see the potential every once in a while but his freethrow and overall shooting will have to improve tremendously and he'll have to become much smoother and cerebral with what he does in the post.
if that doesn't happen in the next couple years... well, you're not gonna get a much more talented type of "supporting cast" than what they had this season and chances are you're not gonna somehow someway package half your roster to trade for a 3rd star to be the alpha male scorer (assuming there was even one out there for the taking) .. and that would just demote blake to being a high flying mascot.
Perhaps a different coach can right all the wrongs but i feel that if paul does return, lac is still in a stagnant position until something dramatic happens with blake/deandre. With that being said, i'm not sure whether there's a better situation for cp3 if he's lookin for immediate results, or just with all things considered.
