in the apple store now. they said when I swapped the phone last time somehow the phone got tied to a japanese carrier as well. so once I restored it, it thinks it's on the japanese network which is why it won't activate. they gotta fix some shyt behind the scenes. I dont understand what the hell they are talking about. they actually said it wasn't sprint's fault and there's nothing wrong with the SIM.

man what a horrible day to have to go to apple. the monday after a new phone, and that place is packed like sardines. ended up having to go to the apple store by my crib, cuz these first cats were trying to have the japanese phone company do some ol other bullshyt. dude in the spot by my crib in the city was like "look, lets just swap this out and see if it works". I was like at first, but when it worked, I was like

Since when do the "sprint" iPhone models use the sim card option. You fukked up!!! Its on the gsm network right. That's like me taking over a Verizon iPhone over to T-Mobile!

I'm rockin the 5S, and ever since the ios 8 upgrade, the fukking push notifications stopped working. anyways, I'm like my phone is backed up, so I'll just do a clean restore and that should fix it.

well why does the phone decide once it's restored, that it can no longer see my sim card. I call sprint, they say

call apple, they try to blame sprint. However, I already tried swapping in my wife's sim card in my phone and it don't work. and I put my sim card in her phone and it does work.

so obviously the problem is with the phone. anyways, I gotta take time out my morning to come to apple to have them look at this. and I'm sure it will be crowded since it's only been 3 days since the 6/6+ dropped.

Anyone else experienced this problem???

btw, I'm on the 4th phone cuz the first one fell in a glass of water. 2nd one, I shattered, then when I got it fixed, the speaker by your ear went to shyt. and then this 3rd one can't recognize the sim card.

I don't even have applecare, I can't help but wonder if this next phone will survive for another year til the next phone drops

that's irrelevant. all sprint iphones use the sim option. same goes for verizon, cuz I removed her sim card and her phone wouldn't work without it despite both of those carriers being GSM.

yeah, it seems like the notifications are all glitchy. however, I couldn't really find anything pertaining to what was happening to me on google before I tried that restore.
