I've always gotten flowers. For years. From every dude I have dealt with. Some, more than others, but all have sent. 
In fact, my man currently sent me flowers before we had even had a first date. We did know each other from before but had never dated. But we had connected so well on the phone,my boo wanted to show me he liked me. I see nothing wrong with it. 
He looked up my office address and sent me a dozen white roses at the very beginning. I have had flowers just because. Flowers for holidays, flowers for birthdays. I have had flowers from a long distance guy who liked me but we hadn't yet met in person. unfortunately, I didn't like him like that But I loved the flowers though, real.
I get flowers because I love to receive them. So men buy them for me.
I think it's a mind thing.
Last year I got flowers from two exes who were trying to get back in. At work. I miss you flowers.
alas, it was too fukking late.but nice try tho.
At work is always the best place fellas...so she can show her coworkers she is appreciated.
Second best would be in person.
My last relationship before this one, my ex would bring a different colored bouquet each month....it became a fun game to see what color he would pick next. I really did enjoy that. It's sad we didn't make it but I couldn't give him what he wanted.
I am shocked y'all are so hesitant in this area. I will say this, flowers never gets old for me. I love receiving them and I really do appreciate the gesture.
