If you remove available outside resources and just go by skills alone, then I would take Marlo's crew over Tony's. But once you factor in who Tony has on his payroll compared to Marlo and it's a wash in Tony's favor. One call to the feds or to a political ally and Tony's would have Marlo's crew arrested on some bs before they could even plot to take him down. Another story for the 6 PM news about cops taking down some bad drug dealers from the hood. Not even worth to waste muscle on this matter. Like a another poster said earlier, this would be a 1 episode issue at best. The game is rigged for Tony's favor.

Honestly I would imagine it looking like gmb vs the mob in new jack city. The issue is marlo and his close knit crew didn't care. Hit em up in broad daylight, go after families and shyt. And it also doesn't help the new york crew that they really didnt have many younger cats for muscle, and the younger ones they did have were either soft, stupid, or both. The dimeos would have to outsource to Italy and local gangs for a chance and even then, the fear of ending up in a vacant might deter some from even getting involved. And if they can manage to keep mike and make another young dedicated hitter like him, and the dimeos might have an ugly end

The difference is mob guys try keep appearances and want to at least seem as legitimate family men. Marlo's crew dont have kids, dont have wives, and live for the savagery. They enjoy the game and all that came with. Sopranos versus Barksdale is a convo. Versus Marlo? Even Tony's kids are liable to end up in a bando

Didn't Chris have kids? I think I remember there being a scene when they were chasing Omar about him stressing to snoop about not being able to see his family

I got Marlo. Sopranos were too old and fractured. Most of them weren’t even loyal. First sign of the shyt getting too real and they’d be crying to “T” about why’re they even doing this in the first place. Their racism would have had them underestimating the Stansfield crew too. Would have walked right into a buzz saw before they realized what they were up against.
