sopranos heads - can anyone break down junior tryin to kill tony?

Tony deep down loved Junior and I think Junior loved him too. But both them nikkas were MAD SENSITIVE, like every other gangster on the show. Them nikkas could be joking one sec and ready to kill another the next.

Remember that episode where Junior is starting to go crazy and keeps clowning Tony, saying he was never an athlete. AT the end of the episode Tony asks Junior why don't you love me? And Junior doesn't answer but you can see a tear in his eye. Junior was prideful as motherf*cka. And deep down Tony always wanted Junior's approval.

Look at how Tony always went to Junior for advice when there was a beef. Man their f*cked up relationship was one of the best written and drawn out in the series.

And no, Livia WAS NOT SENILE. She wanted Tony dead. Junior even realized that Liv was playing him later.

It really was. Junior would get pissed and be like "How many times did I play catch with you!!!"



Or insult him about never being a great athlete.

Yea I think johnny boy had a much larger, more profitable crew. He was love by everyone so it was easier for Tony to rise up the ranks. I think junior was just really cheap and not universally loved like Johnny boy

It got the ball rolling. During that golf game I think Junior was makin fun of Tony and tony got mad so he made p*ssy eating jokes in front of Mikey. That got junior real heated and set him off to tell mikey that Tony was seeing a shrink, which escalated everything.

This thread is incredible timing btw, i just started rewatching the series last week (Im at mid season 2 right now)
