This nikka seriously acting like "everyone knows livia was really senile, this is common knowledge" :wtf:

nikka your the first person Ive ever heard who actually believes livia was senile, it was so obvious she was faking that Tony/Carmela/Junior caught on to it real quick. This bytch was talking about parents suffocating their kids and telling Junior that story about how Tony was a shell and how he'd be better off dead and you think she didn't know?

And as for one of the OP's questions about why tony forgave junior, I think one thing that factors in is that he knew Junior really did have no other choice but to put a hit out on tony once he found out he was getting chumped, that and Junior wasn't a threat anymore

She knew all along what she was doing and Tony did too. "She's on the lam from me in that fukking hospital" When he went to "fluff her pillow" and the guards stopped him, she was smirking at him while being carted off.

Right after she was basically out of his life, that c*nt Janice came around starting her shyt. :snoop:

The boss Jackie was dying of cancer. Tony and Junior were basically underbosses and next in line. Junior was always in his brothers shadow (Tony's father) and felt it was his time. There was a whole lot of shyt boiling over (Tony preventing Junior killing some dude in arties restaurant, Tony protecting Chris and his friend when they were robbing trucks under Juniors protection, Tony basically still running shyt even though Junior was supposedly the boss, Tony making fun of Junior eating p*ssy, Junior finding out about Tony going to a shrink) Tony was about to kill Junior but the feds nabbed him before anything could be done. Tony let it slide and just took over all of his business. Tony's mother didn't have a major role but she knew about it and didn't have a problem with it. She was mad Tony put her in that nursing home. Plus she was overall miserable and crazy as fukk in general. Damn I miss the Sopranos :noah:

Perfect! :takedat:

The guy Junior wanted to murder in Arties restaurant was Little p*ssy Malanga.

all this. plus in the end it turned out better for tony. Tony was basically the boss without the actual title. junior had the title of boss, and the feds had a case on him and not tony.

plus after a lifetime of putting in work, junior still had a shytty crib, meanwhile tony flips new escalades and had that big ass crib.

it seemed pretty obvious to me like you said. after jackie sr. died, junior thought it was his turn to be boss. hell, junior probably thought it was his time to be boss after johnny boy soprano died, but didn't get it then. he was passed over for jackie sr, who was tony's age and peer as well too.

Johnny Boy was never boss. They showed the boss boss early in season 1 in that episode where Chris wanted to be recognized, he was doing a life bid. Jackie was acting boss (prolly after old dude got sent upstate but we dont know the particulars)

Tony deep down loved Junior and I think Junior loved him too. But both them nikkas were MAD SENSITIVE, like every other gangster on the show. Them nikkas could be joking one sec and ready to kill another the next.

Remember that episode where Junior is starting to go crazy and keeps clowning Tony, saying he was never an athlete. AT the end of the episode Tony asks Junior why don't you love me? And Junior doesn't answer but you can see a tear in his eye. Junior was prideful as motherf*cka. And deep down Tony always wanted Junior's approval.

Look at how Tony always went to Junior for advice when there was a beef. Man their f*cked up relationship was one of the best written and drawn out in the series.

And no, Livia WAS NOT SENILE. She wanted Tony dead. Junior even realized that Liv was playing him later.

:russ: Liva knew all along what she was doing.

Remmy, She told Artie about his restaurant bomb was a set-up by Tony.

and She gave Junior an idea about taxing Hesh when Uncle Jr became a boss.

Long story short, Tony conceded the big seat to Junior when Jackie died. But everyone knew Tony was still running things behind Junior's back. When Junior found out that's when he authorized the hit on Tony. & Livia was basically instigating it the whole time & Junior found out because she told him about the meetings with all the captains at Green Grove. Not sure if that dude Tom is trolling or just a moron, but she wasn't senile. She played dumb but was really playing Junior the whole time.

I thought johnny boy was the boss before jackie sr.

Johnny boy was a capo. He left his position to Tony. The preceding boss was in the Feds. Tony alluded to him when the capos met to discuss who will be boss after Jackie died.
